About Us
Cincinnati
Overview
The primary concentration of the Kenwood office is on large-scale ground up-development and value-added acquisitions. The office was established in 1998 by John Silverman and has since developed or is presently developing over three million square feet of retail and/or mixed-use space in six states. The Kenwood office also employs Midland Atlantic's Construction Management and Accounting Divisions that support the company's Property Management and aforementioned Development activities. This office also houses the firm's Property Management division and offers brokerage services including third-party leasing and tenant representation.
Midland Atlantic operates under a "Project Management" system, wherein the Development Managers are the point person for the overall project. The company's Development Managers oversee all aspects of a project, including – property acquisition, project feasibility, due diligence review, procurement of entitlements and economic incentives, design & engineering, construction, sales & leasing, and property management coordination. Midland's philosophy that one person should have overall responsibility for the project - with all disciplines reporting to that person - is a key ingredient to the project's success. The Development Manager position is an important role that requires knowledge in all aspects of the industry, and the ability to oversee the entire development "team". The Cincinnati office employs two Development Managers.
