Construction Management
Midland Atlantic’s Construction Management department was formed in 1999. The division works extensively with the Development Managers in the development process and is involved in the early planning stages of site construction thru the final completion of the center’s construction. The team assists or performs in many aspects of pre-development including preliminary layout, construction budgeting, governmental processes, environmental, geotechnical, traffic studies, project planning, civil/ architectural Design, and bidding. After construction commences, the Construction Manager interacts regularly with the Development, Finance, and Leasing managers to create an effective means of managing the construction process.
The Construction Management team is also heavily involved with the value-added acquisitions program. The department assists the acquisitions team in assessing the general quality of the site conditions as well as the structural integrity of the proposed center. Further, the team stays involved, managing the center’s renovation process and re-tenanting build-out process. The Construction Department is instrumental to the successful completion of all of Midland Atlantic’s Developments and value-added Acquisitions.
