Midland Atlantic Investment Acquires Parkside Square Retail Center
37,000 square feet available, center slated for future growth
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. — Midland Atlantic Investment has recently acquired Parkside Square, a 166,000-square-foot retail center located at Highway 90 and Ocean Springs Road in Ocean Springs, Miss.
The center, anchored by grocer Sav-A-Center, is currently 78 percent occupied. Additional tenants include Aaron's Rents, Subway and H&R Block.
"With the strong rebound this entire area has experienced, we anticipate attracting several larger retail tenants," said Dave Wik, director of acquisitions for the Cincinnati office of Midland Atlantic.
Plans are underway to develop two retail outparcels on the site — one that will accommodate a 15,000-square-foot user, and one that will accommodate up to 5,000 square feet of additional retail space. "We also plan to enhance the landscaping and the overall aesthetic appearance of the center," said Wik.
Parkside Square currently has 37,000 square feet of existing space available for lease. "Re-leasing is underway with both national and local retailers," said Chris Jenkins, broker for Midland Atlantic.
