Midland Atlantic, developed by real estate veterans John Silverman, Jeff Vittert and Aaron Boyle in 1998, celebrated its 10th anniversary in December 2008. Once three offices in Cincinnati, Raleigh, N.C., and Indianapolis geared towards developing, owning and operating retail shopping centers and build-to-suits, the company has evolved into a full-service real estate firm, specializing in the development, acquisition, leasing, management, and brokerage of retail properties. Since the company's inception in 1998, Midland Atlantic has developed more than 4 million square feet of retail properties, with more than 1 million square feet of developments under construction and 1.5 million square feet in planning phases. The Midland brokerage division has completed transactions valued at more than $400 million, representing some of the largest names in the industry such as Kroger, Home Depot, Kohl's and CVS. Midland Atlantic's acquisition division was formed in 2006, and has acquired 6 shopping centers totaling over 800,000 square feet with an estimated value of $54 million. With 10 years under its belt, Midland Atlantic continues to serve its clients, striving to remain at the forefront of the industry.
